Welcome to our blog. We are students at The Ohio State University, majoring in aerospace engineering. Due to our great interest in the field, myself (Steve) and a friend of mine in the major, Mike, have decided to build our own turbojet engine as a side project during the coming year.

Hopefully, during the coming months, we will post our progress on the project in a way that those reading this can both achieve a greater understanding of the mechanics of turbojet engines and possibly even learn enough to build one. We will be posting pictures and videos of the project as it goes along, as well as external links to sites we found helpful.

Feel free to use the above navigation to check out our postings. See you in the next few months!

  1. Neat Project! Google Frank Whittle and Hans von Ohain. Early jet engine with centrifugal compressor. Unique sound. Not as effecient as Axial flow compressor but easier.

  2. WOW! How cool
Looking forward to seeing the progress. Good luck guys!
